The Bible is the Word of God. 

There is one God who eternally exists in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God the Father is the Creator and preserver of the universe.

Jesus Christ, is the Son of God.  He became fully human, lived a sinless life, and paid for every person's sin by His death on the cross, rose from the dead to new life, and will return to judge the living and the dead.

The Holy Spirit is a divine person, eternally one with the Father and with the Son.  Through the Word of God He reveals our sin, persuades us to confess our sinfulness to God, and calls us to faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.  He transforms, preserves, and equips those who have come to faith.

God created people in His image to live in a perfect relationship with Him.  But they disobeyed God and rejected His relationship--this is called sin.  Sin has infected every person and separates us from God.  Without a restored relationship with God, we are all condemned to death in eternal separation from God.

Eternal salvation is available to every person on earth by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.  Our salvation is instantaneous, ongoing, and continual.

We receive the knowledge and benefit of Christ's payment for our sin through the means of grace, namely the Word of God and the sacraments.

The Church Universal consists of all who truly believe in Jesus Christ as Savior.
